AT A GLANCE:
PROJECT LYDIA INNOVATORS & MENTORS

Do you dream of starting and running your own business?

Project Lydia is designed to help adults like you learn business skills, develop a business plan, and start that business. The program features a multi-week training program, support networks and mentors, and business start-up grant funds for each participant.

Participation is limited to 15 innovators.

-----------------------------

Do you enjoy coaching and mentoring others? Are you a business owner who wants to help others launch their own business?

As a mentor, your role is a vital part of this program and includes the following:

  •  Work to form a supportive and trusting relationship with the innovators. Participate in mentor training prior to meeting them.

  • Guide innovators in creating a budget for using their $500 non-competitive micro-grant to launch a business.

  • Support learning throughout the training course to assist innovators in developing each component of their business plan.

  • Coach and encourage the innovators during the launch phase and celebrate their growth. Help them to consider next steps.
